As you already know, we are based in Sale town centre which just off the M60 junction 6. It also has a metrolink station which is situated within the town centre.
Sale has loads to offer families. Kicking off with the wonderful Minikin Designs. Children (and adults) can paint a pot, make something arty for a special occasion, cast hand or foot prints and on certain dates there will be castings for silver jewellery. The shop itself is buggy friendly with lots of tables and highchairs for relaxing and playing. Claire also has a marvellous sweet shop with a vintage feel set up behind the counter. Their website and facebook pages have more information on special events.
Next up is the Waterside Arts Centre. There is always something going on for children during the weekends with an extra program of activities for school holidays. In addition they have great productions for both families and grown ups. For more information have a look at their website.
For family eating Oca Waterside offers a tempting menu of Italian fare including scrummy pizzas. For the grown ups there’s an eclectic wine list. Outside is a covered and heated piazza where children can play and parents can watch them safely. Throw in value for money and what’s not to like? Get your coat!
Within the Traders Outlet is a photographer who is a local well known secret. Her family sittings, and in particular her baby shoots, are amazing. Silje has that special talent of getting babies to co-operate and it seems they do exactly what she wants them to, AND she makes it look easy! (I keep asking her for the secret but it’s closely guarded). Tiny Love are currently running an offer of £20 for a baby shoot. I call that a steal. If you would like more details Tiny love has a website and a Facebook page.
