Our summer dresses are now touring the South of France.
We have the bambi dress on the left which is now out of stock sadly and on the right is the sweet days dress.
We think every day should be a sweet day – we won’t tell your dentist as long as you brush twice a day.
The dress ia also available in 5 other materials – but don’t be shy – if you are really desperate for us to make you a bespoke dress then go ahead and check out the other jersey fabrics available. Just contact us – we are most obliging!
What’s been happening at FKHQ then? We took the children camping to Worcester and had a most pleasing time sunning ourselves (not often I type those words), catching up with friends and having a brilliant all round time.
Here are the birthday girls blowing out some improvised candles.
Aren’t they cute?
The navy sun dress is one I made for Katherine and will be up on the website to order in the very near future.
We are already looking to autumn/winter 2013/14 and the emails are already landing with previews of new fabrics to order. The Scandinavians really do know how to brighten up the dark nights with their beautiful Nordic designs. Expect the unexpected, as usual.
In other news, we’re having a mid-season sale at the moment in both the fabric and funky stuff departments. Lots of lovely bargains to be had so go have a rummage. Stock is limited so be quick!
In the near future we are thinking of offering a gift wrapping service at no extra charge and welcome your thoughts on this. We are always open to suggestions and ideas and would love to see photos of our products that you have received and any anecdotes of products you have bought from us.
After the recent Royal Mail price increases we have taken the decision to stop using their services where possible and will be sending future orders out using a courier. This should not affect postage prices in the UK although we are still looking into international delivery prices.
And finally, here’s birthday girl Verity in her Bambi dress. I’m told from a reliable source (her mum) that she loves it. Rightly so too.
Looking outside at the rain and putting an extra layer on whilst I do so, you would be mistaken thinking it was autumn. It’s officially British Summer Time and we’re just waiting for it to kick in.
We’re quietly confident here at FKHQ that the sun is just around the corner and when it does finally put in an appearance, we’ll be here with lots of summer goodies. Kicking off with some fab tshirts from the Netherlands. Logoshirt makes licensed tees for men, women and children with characters such as The Hulk, Captain America, Assorted Marvel Comic peeps, Che, Star Wars, Batman et al. There’s definitely something for everyone. We have some very cute Heidi tees for children along with the revolutionary himself, Che Guevara (which also comes in ladies sizes).
Gnomeville and Dala horse from Michael Miller have also been restocked and I’ve got some made up into A-line pinafores waiting to be photographed. Again, these will be available early next week.
As a an official Mancunian I suppose I should be doing a tribute to Manchester United and in particular, Sir Alex Ferguson. Wracking brain for what but I do have some lovely red jersey that I can conjure into something. It’ll definitely be a TA-DA! moment when it’s done (whatever ‘it’ is). Suggestions gratefully received!
And finally, to all your mothers, moms, mums, mams etc. I wish you all a happy mother’s day (not in the UK though as we had our mother’s day some 2 months ago). Hope you’re being spoilt rotten.

Sari works for companies worldwide creating fun, funky, simple yet strong designs for different products – ceramics, fabrics for Lillestoff, including sweet days and rainbowphant and more.
The new Riley Blake fabrics are just filtering through from the summer collection. We didn’t expect these in for a while so it’s a double bonus they’re not only here but they are even better in real life than just seeing the samples.
The Stars and Stripes design is versatile and suitable for quilting and clothing alike. I can even see this as a lovely blind in a boy’s bedroom. Stunning! READ MORE
