Almost Lent and I’m frantically trying to think what I can give up. Something I a) don’t like too much and b) won’t miss too much. Maybe I should take up smoking today and then give it up tomorrow?
Before we launch into Lent we all get to gorge our own body weight in pancakes. I’m a traditionalist and go for the tried and trusted sugar and lemon (not too much sugar though as I’m diabetic). The children love golden syrup or Nutella – or both if I’ve got my back turned. Look away now dentist.
